Calling all artists, engineers, singers, builders, actors, tinkerers, writers, comedians and problem solvers!

We are gearing up for the 2025/26 season of Odyssey of the Mind (OM). What is OM? It's an extracurricular program in which teams of 5-7 students work together under facilitation of a volunteer (parent) coach(es) to creatively solve problems and compete!

2025/26 OM questions
(Primary question is for teams in grade K-2)

Important dates

Step 1:  We need coaches (that's you!)

We have two parents who have volunteered to co-coach. To have two teams, we need two more parent volunteers. If you’re curious, supportive, and game to learn, you’ll be great. We’ll share tips and resources to set you up for success.
  • More coaches = more teams = more kids participating.
  • Interested in coaching? EMAIL Tracy at takresh@gmail.com

Step 2:  Info Session (bring your future OMers!)

Wednesday, October 8 at 5:00 PM we will have a meeting in the school library for parents and students to answer questions and start to form teams!
  • Teams work best when students are within one grade level of each other.

  • We aim for balanced, diverse groups of girls and boys collaborating together.

Step 3:  Registration

Teams are finalized and each coach will register directly with Norcal Odyssey of the Mind site
  • HVE covers the registration expense ($290)

  • Each teams pays for the local fee ($80)
