New Family Information 2025-2026

Welcome to Happy Valley Elementary

We are excited to have our new families and students join Happy Valley Elementary and would like to extend a warm welcome to you.  

Here are some fun things to look forward to: 

• Hello Husky Playdate for all New Families and TK/K Families on Tuesday July 22nd.   Come to the Happy Valley Lower playground at 4:30pm to meet up with other families.  Our New Family Liaison team will be on site to answer any questions you may have. 
• Teacher and Classroom Assignments on Monday, August 11th. Visit the Lafayette School District’s RegHub website  to complete the school district registration process for your student(s). After you have registered, you may log onto the Aeries Parent Portal on Monday, August 11th to view teacher assignments for the 2025-2026 school year.
• Husky Day, TK/K Welcome Day and New Family Orientation on Monday, August 11th. This is our traditional mascot day when we welcome back our families and students! We will host a TK/K Welcome and New Family Orientation. Some of our Parents Club Board Members and New Family Liaisons will lead tour groups around the campus and answer any questions, and our Principal, Shayna Peeff, will be on hand to say a quick hello. This is an outside-only tour of the campus and while we can show you where your child’s classroom is, we cannot enter. Some of our teachers will still be working on last-minute classroom preparations that day and we want to be respectful of their time. More information here.
• First Day of School and Welcome Back Coffee on Tuesday, August 12th, 8:40am. Join us on the blacktop after you drop-off for a cup of coffee and donut. 
• Back to School Night on Thursday, August 14th (Adults Only), 5-7pm. Meet your teacher(s), learn what's in store for the year, and spend time in the classroom(s).  
• Back to School Husky Family Hangout on Thursday, August 28th. An afternoon of food trucks, frozen treats, and fun on the playground. More information here.
• LPIE New Family Mixer on Friday, August 15th, 5-6pm. An opportunity to meet other new families, connect with members of the LPIE team, and learn how LPIE supports your child's educational journey. District superintendents will join for a Q&A session. Location: Metro Lafayette. RSVP here.
• Back to LPIE on Friday, August 15th, 6-7pm. A gathering to kick off the school year with friends and fun at Metro Lafayette. This is a free, adult-only event open to all. Hosted bar and light snacks from 6-7pm.
• New Family Social, TBD (Adults Only). A casual get together for all new parents in the evening. This will be a great opportunity to meet new parents as well as the Principal & Happy Valley Parents Club (HVPC) Board Members.
• Parent Party on Saturday, September 27th (Adults Only). An evening of music, food, and fun. Tickets will be limited and purchased via the HVPC website.
