WELCOME TO HAPPY VALLEY ELEMENTARY!

We are excited to have our new families and students join Happy Valley Elementary and would like to extend a warm welcome!

 Here are some fun things to look forward to: 

• Hello Husky Playdate for all New Families and TK/K Families on July 15th. Come to the Happy Valley Lower playground at 4:30pm to meet up with other families.  Our New Family Liaison team will be on site to answer any questions you may have. 
• Ready Set TK Day on Thursday, August 6th. All incoming TK families are invited to come to campus from 2-3pm to meet their teacher, check out the playground, and have a summer treat with new friends!
• Teacher and Classroom Assignments on Monday, August 10th. Visit the Lafayette School District’s RegHub website to complete the school district registration process for your student(s). After you have registered, you may log onto the Aeries Parent Portal on Monday, August 10th to view teacher assignments for the 2026-2027 school year.
• Husky Day on Monday, August 10th. This is our traditional mascot day when we welcome back our families and students!  Come to the Multipurpose Room Some of our Parents Club Board Members and New Family Liaisons will lead tour groups around the campus and answer any questions, and our Principal, Shayna Peeff, will be on hand to say a quick hello and give some high level info on what to expect as we kickoff the new year. This is an outside-only tour of the campus and while we can show you where your child’s classroom is, we cannot enter. Some of our teachers will still be working on last-minute classroom preparations that day and we want to be respectful of their time

• 2pm Kindergarten Orientation
• 3pm New Family Orientation
• 4pm 1st-5th Grade Returning Families Orientation

• First Day of School and Welcome Back Coffee on Tuesday, August 11th, 8:30am. Join us outside the front office after you drop-off for a cup of coffee and donut! Livescan appointments for volunteer requirements will be available during this time as well (sign ups to come).
• Back to School Night on Thursday, August 13th (Adults Only), 5-7pm. Meet your teacher(s), learn what's in store for the year, and spend time in the classroom(s).  Livescan appointments for volunteer requirements will be available this evening as well (sign ups to come).
• LPIE New Family Mixer on Friday, August 14th, 5pm. An opportunity to meet other new families, connect with members of the LPIE team, and learn how LPIE supports your child's educational journey. District superintendents will join for a Q&A session. Location: Western Flier, Lafayette. 
• New Family Social, August 19th 5:30-7:30 (Adult Only). A casual get together for all new parents in the evening. This will be a great opportunity to meet new parents as well as the Principal & Happy Valley Parents Club (HVPC) Board Members.
• Annual Happy Valley Parent Party on Saturday, August 29th (Adult Only). Save the date for an evening of music, food, and fun. Tickets will be limited and purchased via the HVPC website.
