A MESSAGE FROM HAPPY VALLEY PARENTS CLUB PRESIDENT Chelsea McClure

Dear Happy Valley Elementary Families,

I am honored to serve as the President of the Happy Valley Parents Club (HVPC) for the 2024/2025 school year and I look forward to introducing our Parents Club Board Members. 

The mission of HVPC is to support the pursuit of educational excellence at Happy Valley Elementary and throughout the Lafayette School District via fundraising, advocacy, and volunteerism efforts. We strive to provide activities and events that enrich the growing and learning experience for each and every student.

Here are some fun things to look forward to:

• Teacher and Classroom Assignments on Monday, August 12th: Visit the Lafayette School District’s RegHub website (http://www.reghub.org) to complete the school district registration process for your student(s). After you have registered, you may log onto the Aeries Parent Portal (https://lafayette.asp.aeries.net) on Monday, August 14th to view teacher assignments.
• TK/K Welcome Day and New Family Orientation on Monday, August 12th: Parents Club Board Members and our New Family Liaisons will lead tour groups around the campus and answer any questions, and our Principal, Shayna Peeff, will be available as well.
• First Day of School and Welcome Back Coffee on Tuesday, August 12th: Join us on the playground after you drop-off for a cup of joe and a donut.  
• Back to School Night on Thursday, August 15th: Meet your teacher(s) and spend some time in the classrooms (adults only). 
• Back to School Husky Family Hangout on Friday, August 23th: An afternoon of food trucks, frozen treats, and fun on the playground.
• Parent Social on Saturday, September 14th (Adult Only): An evening of music, food, and fun. Tickets will be limited and purchased via the HVPC website.
• New Family Social, TBD (Adult Only): A casual get together for all new parents in the evening. This will be a great opportunity for families that are new to Happy Valley to meet other new parents as well as the Principal and Board Members.

Please be sure to log into our website (https://hvpc.membershiptoolkit.com) and reactivate your account prior to August 12th. For new families, you will need to create an account through the registration page.

The HVPC website will allow you to:

• Complete your HV back-to-school forms and make payments online
• Receive the HV Highlights weekly email newsletter (sent Sunday evenings)
• Access the HV online family directory
• Register for school events like the New Family Social and Parent Social
• Access the HV calendar that includes school holidays and events
• Sign up for volunteer opportunities (Room Parent, Library Volunteers etc.)
