Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day honors the living legacy of civil rights activist Ruby Bridges. Every November 14th, we celebrate Ruby's courageous and historic act by encouraging students to walk to school.

In 1960, six-year-old Ruby Bridges etched her name in history when she integrated all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans. Since then, Ruby has become a national icon for her courageous action and continues to inspire people to stand up to racism and bullying.

Vigilant Parent Initiative Parent Ed Night with the District Attorney
Thursday, November 20th @ 6-8:30pm

The Vigilant Parent Initiative (VPI) educates parents on basic technology and social media how-tos, prevention, awareness, and knowing how to talk to your child about protecting themselves online.

The VPI provides online safety training and the signs to recognize when a child could be in danger on-line.

Technology and the internet are not inherently bad, and are necessities in keeping up to date in this generation.

Educate yourself so you can educate your child.
