Helping Keep Happy Valley Elementary Strong

Lafayette schools are full of extraordinary programs and teachers—but did you know we’re one of the lowest-funded districts in California? Our school receives about $5,000 less per student than it actually costs to provide the level of education we want for our kids. That’s why LPIE (Lafayette Partners in Education) was created by parents—just like you—to help close that gap and ensure all students have what they need to thrive.

HVPC vs. LPIE: Why You Should Support Both

The Happy Valley Parents Club and LPIE both play essential—but different—roles in supporting our school.

🎉 What the HVPC Supports at Happy Valley

The HVPC focuses on building community and enriching the school experience through fun, inclusive events and programs like our Back to School Husky Hangout, new family socials, parent parties, Res Run and our Carnival. HVPC events bring families together and help make our school feel like a true community.

📚 What LPIE Supports at Happy Valley

LPIE funds what happens during the school day—the academic programs and staff that make our public school education stronger, richer, and more complete. Classroom aides in every class, art, science and music instruction, classroom supplies and much more are all supported by LPIE. These are critical components of your child’s education that are not fully funded by the State of California.

We hope you’ll support both the HVPC and LPIE at Happy Valley.
HVPC helps build our community. LPIE helps build your child’s education.

Your donation to LPIE directly supports teachers and students at Happy Valley. Every donation, at any level, makes an impact.
