The LPIE Read-a-thon promotes a lifelong love of reading and learning and benefits the education of every student in Lafayette public schools.

 

Funds raised in the Read-a-thon help pay for high-quality teachers and programs like science, music, technology, visual and performing arts, wellness, and more. LPIE enhances education for our 4,410 students every day!

Participation is easy. Instructions, detailed information, and a reading log can be found here. Elementary students will receive this packet in their take-home folders. You can register now and log minutes between January 26 and February 9.

Students can win amazing prizes by tracking their reading in Pledgestar and securing donations.
 
Top Readers and Fundraisers
  • The top reader by minutes and top fundraiser in each grade across all schools will win a local gift certificate
 
Raffle for Donations
  • Every student with at least one donation is entered into a grade-level raffle for a local gift certificate
 
BONUS Raffle
  • Raise $150 or more to enter a special raffle for a Cinemark movie party for ten!
