HAPPY VALLEY BOOK CLUB – Jan 26-Feb 9^th

To encourage LPIE read-a-thon participation and reading with your children, we are hosting a Happy Valley Family Book Club!  This book club is intended for parents and children to read together and will run parallel to the LPIE Read-A-Thon from January 26-Feb 9th.

Have a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader?  There are many benefits of reading to older children with bonding time topping the list.  

Friday , January 31^st,  8:10am  - Book Club Kick off Breakfast.  

• Come for donuts and to pick up your complimentary copy of The Frindle Files by Andrew Clements.  Mrs. Peeff will welcome everyone to the Book Club and offer some reading tips and ideas for participants.  

Friday January 31^st to Sunday February 9^th - Book Club and LPIE Read-A-Thon

• Read, Read, Read!  And don’t forget to log your child’s daily reading minutes on the LPIE Read-A-Thon reading log.  (Minutes spent reading aloud to your child count!)

Monday February 10^th, 6:00pm-7:30pm - Book Club Dinner and Discussion

• We will wrap up the Book Club with dinner and a brief book discussion on Monday February 10^th, in the multi-purpose room.
